LENA MODIGH

J'ai récemment découvert la photographe Lena Modigh et voulait vous faire partager ses superbes photos... et quelques questions auxquelles la photographe a répondu avec beaucoup de gentillesse.

I recently discovered Lena Modigh photography work and wanted to share with you these amazing pictures...and some questions the photographer has kindly accepted to answer.

- Pouvez-vous nous parler un peu de vous?
Je suis partie de Stockholm à mes 19 ans pour la Nouvelle Zélande où j'ai travaillé dans une ferme ensuite New York pour travailler sur differents films indépendants et Londres où j'ai travaillé comme assistante pour John AKehurst. Je partage maintenant mon temps entre Londres et Stockholm travaillant sur différents projets.

- Can you tell us about you?
I moved away from Stockholm when I was about 19 years old. First stop New Zealand, working on a farm, then New York, working on various independent films, followed by London, where I worked as a full- time assistant for John Akehurst . I now divide my time between Stockholm and London shooting various projects and commissions.

Comment êtes-vous devenue photographe?
Mon père était un grand amateur, il prenait sans cesse des photos de moi, de mon frère et de ma mère et des voyages que nous faisions. Une fois par mois, nous organisions une projection , un diaporama de ses photos, je pense que de là est née ma passion pour la photographie.

-How did you become a photographer?
My Dad was a happy amateur, taking very close-up pictures of flowers, me, my brother and mother, and of trips that we made. Then about once every month we would have a slideshow, a bit like a movie night. I think that must have started my interest in photography.

-Qu'est ce qui selon vous fait une bonne photo?
Pour moi, c'est d'abord l'émotion qu'elle renvoie. J'ai besoin de ressentir quelque chose quand je vois une photo.

- What makes a good photography?
For me it is the feeling it portrays. I need to feel something when I see a picture to think it is good.

-Quelles sont vos inpirations?
Le travail d'autres photographes m'inspire (Horst Diekgerdes, Glen Luchford, etc..), des films (Into the Wild, Lilja 4-ever, Virgin Suicides) et tous mes voyages.

-What are your inspirations ?
I get inspired by other photographers (Horst Diekgerdes, Glen Luchford, etc..), films (Into the Wild, Lilja 4-ever, Virgin Suicides, etc..) travels (anywhere) music..
